Apiarists and Beekeepers who need a skills assessment for migration purposes will no longer require a bachelor-level degree.

Apiarist, also known as Beekeeper, will now be classified as a Group D occupation. Besides this, the applicants will be required to have an AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV with a period of highly relevant employment. The change will take effect on Monday, December 12 and we are currently updating the information on website.
